Staying Balanced in an Unbalanced World: Easy Improv Games Anyone Can Play with Izzy Gesell

Staying Balanced in an Unbalanced World: Easy Improv Games Anyone Can Play with Izzy Gesell In-Person

We all need to be nimble, attentive, confident and creative these days in order to personally thrive while positively relating to others. Interestingly, the same is true of Improv performers. In fact, the skills that make improvisers successful are the same ones that make non-performers successful, both personally and professionally. Those skills include thinking on your feet, responding quickly and effectively to unexpected events, having fun, using your creativity and expanding your comfort zone.

You’ll learn a mindset that helps you relate to others in a cooperative way, confidently accept reality, learn to act on things you can control and let go of things you cannot control, and enjoy and value working with others. Plus you will have fun!

No one will be forced to volunteer. Participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing!

Everyone will leave this workshop with:

  • A way to be more comfortable with change, more open to new ideas and less risk averse
  • An enhanced ability to influence people, projects and processes
  • A tactic to extend dialogue with those that disagree with you without escalating into conflict
  • Instructions to the games so you can share the fun

Due to the difficulty in acquiring parts, and supply chain issues, we cannot guarantee handicap access to the Lang Auditorium at this time. We are doing everything we can to rectify this situation as soon as possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
