Enjoy Autumn in New England with a bus trip through the Berkshires!  We will leave the Athenaeum and travel to Stockbridge for a lovely buffet lunch at the historic Red Lion Inn. After dessert and coffee we will continue on to The Clark Art Institute where we will be given a docent guided tour of the Edgar Degas exhibit in it's last weekend!

Edgar Degas (1834 - 1917) was one of the most important artists of the late 19th century. He is most known for his role as a leading advocate for the Impressionist art movement that burst upon the Paris art scene in the 1870s. From the first Impressionist art show in 1874 to well into the 20th century, Degas created a body of highly original and insightful work that continues to be cherished to this day. The Clark Art Institute has organized a comprehensive show of Degas' work to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the 1874 show. The exhibit presents a unique opportunity to examine and investigate the art, as well as the role Degas played in making Impressionism one of the most important art movements of the late 19th century.

$125 per person, includes luxury motor coach with restroom, lunch, museum admission and the docent tour.
