Small Planet Dancers In-Person
Small Planet Dancers, a community-based educational performance troupe from
Westfield, will transport the audience around the world with global dance and
music. The 18-member adult troupe is composed of men and women from
throughout Western MA.
“Small Planet Dancers offers people of all ages an opportunity to learn through
dance about historical events and world cultures,” explains Josephine Sarnelli,
Artistic Director. “Learning throughout life is crucial for personal growth, and
international exchange is imperative for the future of our world. Through
educational performances, we share these experiences with our audiences and
encourage all to appreciate the richness of both our history and our differences.”
This program will offer some swing dance routines of the World War II era.
Global dances will include Celtic, Caribbean, Flamenco, and Middle Eastern.
Men’s dances will include Greek, Vaudeville and the light-hearted Blues Brothers.
