Your Local History Matters!

Your Local History Matters! In-Person

Your Local History Matters!

What do family stories, photograph collections, and birth certificates have in common? They all tell the story of who you are!  Local history is more than dusty books and records, but a living and breathing representation of the history of our community. Join us for this monthly program where we’ll discuss and practice preserving your history! in this series you will learn practical skills and techniques to help you tell your story. Each class in the series will focus on a different topic and participants will be introduced to how to approach and plan for specific personal local history projects. Our first class in the series will focus on handling and preserving your family photo collection. Feel free to bring examples of your photo collection to class. This class will be led by local history, archives, and genealogy professional, Kim Pereira. Registration is required.
